2004 LE Turbo missfire/ pinging
I have a 2004 PT Le turbo with automatic. I have noticed a miss at idle and a bog/ ping while accelerating. The engine light comes on and goes off intermitantly.
Tonight it was on and then flashed for about 10 seconds and then stopped flashing, just stayed on.
From what I've read here, it sound like it's time for plugs and wires. What type wires and plugs? And what is the correct gap. BTW, car has 28k miles on it. Can I do this myself? Or what should it cost to have it done? Any other suggestions? Modern cars scare me when I look under the hood.
