You are probably right in some respects. People that have been around the block know that mommy and daddy won't fix the boo boo when it breaks. I personally have 2 boys looking at me to at least augment their college educations. A major repair job unwarrented would not sit well with that.

I probably look at my PT as more entertaining transportation than a throw away piece of ego. My PT is not a ticket to pick up hot babes, excepting my wife(who I think is still pretty hot).

Winning that next stoplight run won't make my day. My day is better focused on what will be there in a year, or five years (like a functioning PT). I also have 3 other vehicles that are more prone to need fixes without my forcing the issue(1 old Mustang, and 2 Porsches).

I'm not out of it, I have just already burnt out my headlights before doing stupid things that I don't care to repeat. I know that there is fun to be had, without being had!
