You may want to try Butyl tape. It is used in HVAC for sealing as well as installing aftermarket sunroofs. It is pliable, and easy to use.

The quickest way to get a small quantity of this would be to see if Radio Shack still sells a product called "Co-Ax Sealer". It would be a small roll (or strips) of Butyl tape around 1/2" wide that is used for sealing the coax connectors and cable where they are attached to an outside antenna.

If not there, try any 2 way radio shops that do installations; possibly checking with local public service agencies to see who does their radio/antenna installations.
