Well, most of you already know me, but for the sake of all, I will tell you a little about myself and how this came to be. Like all of us here, I fell in love with the PT Cruiser from its introduction.
I decided to wait for more power, so I ordered the Turbo as soon as my dealer was taking orders. That is what brought me to this board.
I guess you might say I'm a veteran member here already. I feel this forum is the best around, many helpful people willing to give their time to help others. During the process of making modifications to my car, I found the people and the advice I recieved here priceless. Since I lack mechanical skills but have some detailing knowledge, I tried to give back as much as I could to help in what I knew something about. After time, people started coming to my web site asking me questions, to which I was glad to respond.
Jody felt (and I agreed) that it was time to put up a detailing section. I accepted the responsablity to monitor and run it. I think it's a great addition to the forum. I also wanted to lay out some guidelines and outline how and what topics will be discussed.
Most of you know I also sell a product line through my web site. Let me assure you this will NOT be Gary's Product section. I want everyone to post everything about whatever products you like, dislike, or have questions about. I do have a select group of followers already with my product line, but I don't want this section to revolve around me or my products. I only started selling a few items to help people have better choices for getting high end products at discount prices. My business focuses heavily on education in car care. I teach detailing at various facilites (even junior colleges), and I find satisfaction in helping in that regard. So if I can help by offering great products, and people like them, I'm happy.
I know we have a Zaino group, Mothers, Meguiars, Zymol, and on and on. EVERYONE CAN TALK ABOUT ANYTHING in regard to detailing and car care. I don't have all the answers either. Many people on this forum have as much (or more) knowledge about paint, body work, even detailing than I. I know this section will be a success, because everyone here contributes with a positive attitude. I thank Jody for bringing this to the table and I'm looking forward to some great topics. Gary
