I know I brought this up before but since the question is being asked again I thought I should re-tell my story.
My dealership has forbidden its techs from using the prop rod on the PT because it so easy to forget. They have a home made gizmo the fits under the hood and holds it up and the tech is wired to it by a wrist strap.
When I asked another tech what it was for he said "it's because we have damaged hoods on PT's because of the recessed prop"
HOOD STRUTS ARE A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT....
