So many questions, here are the answers
1. The ball slides up & down on its own mount. So to unlock the shifter you press down on the knob and the whole knob works like the button did. NO rattle.
2. The black box on the side of the console normally hidden when the seat is forward (I have short legs) is what MTX calls a remote EBC. That is an External Base Control module. plugs into the MTX amp and is used to regulate base volume from the 2 12" MTX subs in the back.
3. The Hurst Roll Control switch on the shifter is used for momentary activation of the stage 2 boost on the TurboXs dual stage boost controller. I have the covered toggle switch on the console. The roll control switch is a push button normally open switch and has to be held down to keep stage 2 active. This way stage 2 is quickly kicked in when required. The toggle stays locked to on or off.
4. The 2 little boxes on the top front of the console control the under dash blue neon lighting. I have all of the neons on a master switch, but the controllers (one for each neon) have individual on/off switches & pulse to the music switch & settings. If you look at my home page you'll see a shot of the back of the cruiser during the day and lit up by neons at nite. It's hard to get a good pic of neons at nite though. On second thought I'll post the sub shots here:
