EDIT---(Sorry, got off on rant kind of here, really off subject when I re-read the initial thread topic)

I use a K&N drop in. I have the silencer removed and I had the snorkle removed that went to the fender. Last weekend I put the snorkle back in to the fender because I noticed that there is an area between the front of the trans and the front of the engine bay that is almost a straight shot down to daylight and open air. I took a 3/4" forstner bit and drilled out about 12 of the honeycomb recessed in the bottom of the box to let in air from the bottom. I am going to duct air up to there from the slot at vent by the driving light. I think that this setup will give me plenty of flow and it still looks completely stock. Oh, I also cut the snorkle so that it is even with the inside of the box. I think the biggest bottle neck right now is the silencer in the tube to the turbo itself. I am putting togehter a replacement with a 90 degree silicone adapter that goes from 1.2" on the turbo and grows to 3" after the 90. Then I am getting a 3" poece of alum tubing to rise to a 45 degree 3" silicone adapter into the airbox. This will flow a lot better.

I am going to move the exerior ambient temp sensor. I had moved it to the area right in front of the intake area of the stock box when I had the snorkle off. I am going to now mount it inside the airbox itself to get a good reading of the intake air.
