The Viper runs a 12.1 1/4 Mile at 121 mph. Gonna need a litte more than "very minor mods" to get the STi into the low 12's. Not to mention the Viper would always win from a role.

Incorrect. Low 12s is not hard to get to, considering a few testers hit high 12s stock and many people are hitting high 12s with minor mods (downpipe, intake, etc.). Full setup on an STi and a Viper won't always win from a "roll." That depends purely on power and driver. Don't be so quick to assume things about other cars. With mine, stock, I can keep with a C5 (non-Z06) 'vette from a roll. The C5 has more power...think about that.

I'm not quick to assume anything, I have 2 good friends who both own '04 STi's (one blue and one white). And I happen to know quite abit about Scoobies too.
There is a big difference between High 12's and Low 12's. Without major mods to the STi like bigger turbo, injectors and PiggyBack ECU it will never see low 12's. Subaru is achieving 300hp at the crank, but they are maxing out the injectors and Turbine efficiency to get there.
And from a roll, I've personally seen the STi get handed it ass many times from LS1's. The STi has a stock trap speed of like 103. The c5 has a stock trap speed of 107. You do the math.

It's not as maxed out as you think and it won't take as much to get to low 12s as you think. Go to a WRX board (large) and check the stories on STis. In general, you'll see they do quite well...like me keeping with the C5, others BEATING C5s (yes, it happens), walking LS1s and more. Experience helps. Do some research.
I'm not going to keep defending it for you guys. Keep convinced that the STi isn't fast and gets its ass handed to it by everything. I'll come back with video soon. There is a reason they don't make F-bodies anymore. Off I go to enjoy my STi and spank the inefficient 8s...
