Not sure there is any performance increase. Just the sound. As I said I did it to prolong the life of the turbo. From what I read it just helps the turbo from being slammed to a stop when you let off of gas, and keeps the turbo spinning giving better response when you get back in it. I will take your advice on an intake. I am not into loud. I just dropped in a K&N and removed the white silencer and called it a day. Also am waiting to see if what is being said that Stage 1 works best with stock air box in place to be proven, or dis-proven by real life numbers.
