Airbillster,

I have to say I could not agree more with any post I have read to date. You did indead make a wonderful leap forward with your intake. I have longed after a hood, and box combo as I think that is the only true answer to heated air NOT being a issue. That said I know intakes make hp as my experiance with HotShot intake on my Toyota it made hp, and NOISE. That is my issue. Yours looks like it is well sealed, and I am sure it makes noise still.

I think the week link in all this is the bend at the turbo, and heat. Here is what I am going to try when I do my Stage 1 this week. I will replace just that elbow with what ever I can. I want to find a mat type insulation to insulate that entire tube to the stock box, I hope something easy on the eye. I am going to dyna-mat( you music guys know this stuff, I did my ENTIRE inside of my Toyota X-cab with this including roof) my entire inside stock air box, leave my K$N in, and then use the above pleasing to the eye mat, on the entire outside of the stock box.

I also am worried about the oil line so far back in the tube of the K&N prototype. If you had the inline filter mod inplace I would think it would be fine though.

And last I would like to see dyno proof of CAI or stock box WITH Stage 1.
