It boggles the imagination that people would willingly get themselves into a quagmire with "No Warranty" parts when the current state of affairs on poor warranty coverage exists.

Points to ponder:

> DC is in a world of hurt. (billion dollar loss in Q3)
> Administrators that don't want to cover warranty any way. (Even when spelled out specifically.)
> Proceedures currently in place to stop or inhibit ANY expensive warranty repair.
> Mechanics and service staff that are baffled by the immensity of the "electronic age of engines".
> Dealers that are having their own troubles because of low sales, and being saddled with first tier warranty diagnosis and repair.

I am sure that no-one who has purchased a PT is or will be part of the thousands of layoffs occurring in the manifacturing sector, but how many of us really could afford the monthly payment AND a sudden $7 to $10,000 new engine or even a $2 to $4,000 "fix everything under the hood until it works" suprise.

These are probably the same folks that thought that the National Guard was a domestic reserve force. (God bless each and every one of them for their sacrifice over seas and at home.)

Welcome to the world of "read EVERYTHING that you sign" first, secondly " believe that anything negative can and will happen and the benefits will have to be forced to happen".

Wasn't it Michael Fox in the movie "Back to the Future" that always got himself in deep trouble when someone called him "chicken"?
