even though the block is stock, they make no mention of stock *internals*.
Around here when 'stock block' is used 99% of the time they also have upgraded internals. I have just began assuming (at the track anyway)that it's stillthe stock displacment (or 1st over), but internals have been switched out for stronger ones. Very commonly racing teams (subaru camp, Mustang/Camaro/Vette/Viper/etc... lay claim to stock blocks, but usually always admit to having changed out the internals,most commonly being con-rods and pistons.
Around here anyway, a stock block, means if you start with an open deck, you still have an open deck, and still have the stock stroke/bore though the internals may have been changed.
