Run a free vin # vehicle history check, http://wsf.carfax.com/cfm/general_ch...?partner=YAH_1 ,and see what the records show.

Technically, any recall should be covered. But, you better check with your state regarding salvaged cars and if the state inspected and approved it for road worthiness. If everybody was notified that the car was totaled, you may be out of luck and may have to purchase a separate warranty (if approved). As far as the remaining new car warranty, depending on the last statement above, you would need to check with your local Chrysler dealer and see what's in the system. Most car manufacturers say the warranty is transferable, BUT with restrictions. If the vin number stills shows the original owner, you may want to ask how to change it over to reflect the change, or any recall notice would be sent to the original owner.
