You need to find a new mechanic because that bit about driving it hard makes the coolant boil out one of the best fairy tales I've ever heard. He is so full of sh*^. I've heard some tall tales before but that is a bald faced lie. If the cooling system is functioning properly you should NEVER lose coolant period.
