I have been using Fram for 20 years or so. NEVER had a problem. That filter you hac..., I mean cut open looks good to me. No cardboard I could see. I use the next Fram up, it is gray with the black grip, in FL-1A Ford on my Harley. Ran strait Fram for 80,000 on my last truck(3614), no issues. I like em, will use it on my GT for sure, with Synth.
