They scratch easily and are not nearly as nice as chrome would be.

I never even made the "aluminum would be softer" connection. And I'd imagine that billet aluminum doesn't polish up as nicely as chrome, either.
With all the chrome already inside the Cruisers, I wonder how it would look trying to add polished aluminum into the mix? Kinda like "uhhh....close, but no cigar?" [xx(]
