I wanted to post my impression of the BTG axle back exhaust after I've lived with it for a couple weeks.

First, I have no way to compare this exhaust to any other aftermarket exhaust. I can only compare it to stock. Since I couldn't even hear the stock system, this makes comparison rather silly. (doesn't it?) The following review is COMPLETELY subjective based on my personal experience.

VOLUME: I can now hear the exhaust. It is rather low and loud. The sound will actually overpower the stereo until I turn it up to 20 or so. I would rate this exhaust as a "ROCK & ROLL" system. I would not buy it if I was into easy listening at low volume. On the highway, the sound can wear on your nerves if you like a quiet ride. Keep this in mind if you do a lot of highway driving.

FIT AND FINISH: This is a beautiful looking muffler. Yes, you can see the canister shaped muffler unlike the systems that have the muffler tucked away farther under the car. This does not bother me since this muffler is highly polished and way smaller than stock. The tip is nice looking and an improvment over stock in my opinion.

PERFORMANCE: It is impossible t say without a dyno. I have been through all the gears WOT and it is a pretty wild ride. Yes, it is loud but not obnoxious. There is no noticable burble when I let off.

OVERALL IMPRESSION. I have to admit that I sometimes miss the occasional quiet cruise. Those days are over unless I put the stock muffler back on. I also miss the soft ride of the stock springs until I go around a corner and then I appreciate my BTG springs. This exhaust fits into the "sporty" catagory. If you aren't into that, keep your stock exhaust sytem and stock springs.

Hay Gary . . . can you add anything to this post? I know you have the same exhaust.
