I just dropped mycar at the dealer for it's first visit.I have done the oil changes myself, but had been saving up some warranty work.
I reported the following when I dropped it off:
-Power Steering whistle(I was told yesterday that the part,I'm assuming a rack & pinion unit, is on National backorder)-10/8 update: I am told this is on backorder and they do not have an ETA
-High-RPM miss - 10/8 update: Told that the PCM is on backorder with no ETA
-Very small amount of trans. fluid on the bottom-center bolt on the diff. cover.(I was told yesterday that this was from a leaking axle-seal and was replaced)
-Coolant leak on the back side of the engine (I was told yesterday that as I suspected, one of the cheap-o crimp-type clamps on one of the small coolant lines was not tight enough. It was replaced with a traditional-style clamp.)
-SIRIUS radio loses signal on hot sunny days. (I doubt they will get this one fixed, especially since the weather has cooled off and they likely cannot reproduce it.)
I do not forsee any problems getting any of this fixed. It's all either simple minor stuff, or things that have been well documented by others and/or has an existing TSB.
I'm driving the Shelby Dakota while it sits at the dealer.I told them to keep it until it's all done.I hate dropping a car off and then picking it up a couple of days later with them saying I have to bring it back for some reason.
