Default FYI Platinum vs Copper

Shortly after buying my ride I wanted to
change the stock plugs to something I thought
would be better. So I went to Champion Platinums,
the colder range. Last week I decided to replce the
stock coil pack with a MSD and 8.5 wires. While at it I
also changed to NGK V-Groove Copper plugs. What a surprise I
got when I removed the platinums! In all of the years that I
have been playing with cars I have never seen a set of plugs where the insulators were burned. I guess that I should blame myself
because I new that you are supposed to run copper plugs in any
motor that is super charged or turbo powered. Evidently
platinum plugs regardless of the heat range, are too hot for the
GT's.
