Here's a closer pic and you can see the bar right up against the rubber compartment edge along the firewall.

You are right. My bar looks lower than yours. It's possible that the hood liner won't rub. I'd like to see if anyone else has a hood liner installed along with the BTG brace. Thanks for the info.
