I used rattle cans from Pep Boys. I did mask it all off and then cut it out with a blade. As always prep is all the time. Used a dremel tool with brush to clean it all. Then lots of brake cleaner. Car only had 1000 miles on it so all was in nice shape. Did take the pads out of the front. Did this on my Tacoma and it had 80,000 on it and still looked like new, and did not prep and do it as well as this time. The rears came out nice as I did the back dust cover instead of the top of the rotor so I have the same "3 line" look in the back.
IRPT, Fellow "girls bike" owner huh? LOL If I was wrenching on a 75XLCH I would have most of it done at a good Indy. Little harder on a 28 year old bike, with parts at a premium and information scarce.
