I read a thread awhile back where someone had their seat base removed and two or three inches cut off the height, it was a pretty involved process. I'll see if I can find the thread. Another option someone else did was to tilt the seat back by placing washers under the front mounting bolts by using Grade 5 bolts 1" longer then the stock ones. Of course any modification to the seat my affect it's safety integrity, be careful.
