I've been looking at the functional sidepipes, too, but the one thing that keeps the red lights blinking is the fact the the Cruisers have one feature that the old 'Vettes didn't...REAR DOORS!!!
I'd HATE to have to get in or out of the back seat with a blistering-hot exhaust dump right at my ankles...
