Those two balls are more than what's offered commercially.
I may be too picky, but the egg I used was about 1/4" too small. If I could have made my own, it would have been larger.
"Just a wooden ball?" If that's all someone wants, that's it. If they have no talent (like me), it would be nice if someone else duplicated the 03 Auto wooden ball including the interior bore diameters so others could just do a bolt-on replacement like one of the billet jobs. I just thought it would be a nice alternative.
Wooden ball or egg or... It's only limited by the skill and patience of the lathe hobbist.
