SteelBlue: I think that the traction control myth was discussed in a previous thread, but turning the Trac off should NOT affect mileage at all b/c:
1) It only comes into play when the car's tires slip or spin (only on full throttle & snow/rain/slippery conditions); and
2) It disengages at around 30 mpg & any speed above that it will never be a factor.


For the record, though, I did drive with the Trac off in a controlled setting, comparing it to 'regular' mode, with no difference.
