While I'm still tweezering splinters out of the headrests, I bought a custom cut piece of 3/4" Plywood that slid right on in! Even I was amazed.
When it was brand new, I bought two extra "D-Rings", like the ones on the side of the back, and put them on the inside bottom of the rear hatch, so that if I ever have to tie the open rear hatch down, I'll have two lash points. Chrysler didn't put lash points on the rear hatch because of exhaust liability, but with the front windows open, that shouldn't be a problem.

Was wondering if the D-rings you used were replacement DCX parts, or aftermarket. If they were replacements, do you happen to have a part number? Had an occasion to stuff the back of the Cruiser, but fo lack of the tie-downs (or twine!) I had to tie my shoelaces together and loop 'em around the rear windshield wiper assembly and the tailgate latch! [xx(]

Sorry it took so long to surf back this way, it just depends on the tide, I guess.
Here's a link to Wyckoff Chrysler, where I bought the D-Rings. They are just under the "OEM rear cargo net", and are called "Cargo tie down loops", the part is # 5023205AB and they are $5.85. (I've forgotten if that's each or for a pair.)
