When using any product on your finish to attempt to repair/correct always go with the "less is best" mentality. You can always kick it up a notch, but once you have gone too aggesive its too late. I would start with a paint cleaner first, they are designed to remove fine surface imperfections. Ones that some to mind in order of abrasives are Meguiars (most aggressive) Perfect Auto Finish (less aggressive) and P21S (the least aggressive) Once you have used the cleaner, follow up with a hand polish of your choice, then protect. (wax or seal)
