Air Silencer
I removed the black lower "snorkel" silencer today. I noticed a very deep sort of WOOing sound at higher RPMs. It sounds great, and the car seems to be accelerating about the same. My only question, am I cutting off air to the intake by removing the snorkel completely? I don't want to hurt the engine. I own a 03' TE 5 spd. If there was a considerable amount less air coming in, would the air flow sensor come on followed by the check engine light? Any help or guidance would be gladly appreciated.
