The horsepower on the
2003 DCS2 is 215hp--the same as the GT model. In
2004 the horsepower was increased on both the
DCS3 and GT to
220hp. From others I've talked to many car salespeople don't even know
[V] that in 2004 the PT Cruiser offers a choice of two turbo engines -- 180 and 220 horsepower--very sad but, too often, "par for the course"!
I don't believe you got "scamed and lied to" but the salesman who sold you the car was not properly informed/trained. I have owned a 2003 and now a 2004 GT and really cannot tell the 5-horsepower difference when it comes to actual road performance.
