Flannel does not absorb much and it is abrasive. Get some large microfiber towels (they just simply rule), they soak up water and leave no streaks and oh so soft.

Get an RV drinking water filter for your hose...cured my waterspot-while-washing problem. The water does not evaporate as quickly, too, and drying is a lot smoother.

Ditto on the waxing of it...wax every 6-8 weeks. Clay it before your first wax.
