I'd had it out for about an hour before opening the hood, I think that's the only reason it didn't snap.
I must say no other car I've had had this problem!?!
Could be a real problem if the battery needed a boost and the cable snapped, so far the Chrysler '03 PT Turbo is not scoring high marks on the Canadian Winter test.
