Well, I went thru all the procedures today, but didn't get any noticeable improvement. I do, however have an exceptionally clean windshield.
I'm thinking maybe I'll remove the wiper blade from the passenger side, give it a few swipes across the windshield so both sides will match, and call it a "mod"[8D]
