Default Re: New radiator fan, and now new problems

Thanks! So, here is where I am at now -

1 - I have now replaced (2) high speed fan relays that should be mounted to the radiator fan (see #5).

1a - I am now really good at changing these relays!

2 - I am 98% sure it is the 4 pin version. I don't know for sure yet, as this was replaced by a Chevy dealer about 65 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky last week. I will try to verify tomorrow. I live right outside Chicago, and they were the only ones open.

3 - I get code P0480 about 2 minutes after I clear the car using a cheap OBD2 scanner.

4 - I got the coolant flushed and replaced a few days after I got to where I was going, so I can safely say the coolant is good.

5 - The dealer did not put the relays back on the fan housing where they were supposed to be. I am NOT happy about that. Not only that, but there is no bracket there. Just the holes where it should be attached. Grrr...

Next up - I am trying to figure out if I change the coolant temp sensor or the wiring harness for the relays. I assume the harness is the next likely suspect, but I suspect I have to get the fan out to replace that harness.
