Trash and/or water in the fuel system can often cause symptom similar to what you are describing. It's an easy and inexpensive thing to check.

If me, I'd get a red bottle of STP fuel cleaner and a yellow bottle of HEAT fuel dryer. I'd put half a bottle of each into my fuel tank along with at least haft a tank of fuel bought at a different services from the one I usually buy fuel at. Then I'd drive the car. If trash or water are causing the problems, chances are the symptoms will go away or at least get better in 20 minutes or so of driving.
