Two 1 3/4" pipes will flow more exhaust than one 2.5". I am not an engineer but I think that the reason why the Mopar design includes the so called "octypipes" is to insure that the flow will be equal out both tail pipes.

You have 1 in and 2 out not to mention the exhaust has to turn around in the muffler and twist and turn to exit the 2 tail pipes, this is very restrictive.
The btg dual is single up to a low restriction y pipe and out the tail pipes, relatively straight through. The btg axle back is straight through. The magna flow single is straight through. ATR is straight through. Less restriction more power, but, more noise. It just depends on what you want.
Please understand that I am not trying to slam your system. I am sure it is a good system looks, sound and performance. I just do not understand why MP would say we need a 2.5" system for stage 2 and turn around and sell us a 2 3/8 system with a muffler and 1 3/4" tail pipes when the ultimate goal is power?
