It's hard to beat our GT, in fact we can't, but the car we traded in for our GT was a 1993 GEO Tracker we bought in the fall of 92. We took very good care of it. We even had it shipped to Alaska to our last Air Force base beore we retired. It was our one and only car for the first 8 years. By the way it was a two door hard top not a rag top. So, after being here in Chandler for 3 years we finally decide it was time to finally by our GT. Off we went to trade it in, boy was that hard. Everyting on it worked and the seats were not torn. It pretty much looked like new. A lot of the salesmen and our loan guy went out to look at it, they couldn't believe it was 10 and a half years old. In reality my husband could have driven it to work for another ten years. All you have to do is take good care of it. But, since it was that old it did not have air bags and my husband drives 40 miles round trip to work and back every day on Phoenix area freeways. Accidents daily, drivers here are pretty much nuts!!! So for my peace of mind we traded it in. I drive the GT and he right now drives a 2001 Cavalier for right now. We got on a waiting list for a MINI Cooper S this past Saturday. He will be driving that to work when we take delivery 7 to 9 months from now. That's how long of a wait there is!!!
