Okay, the PT has a lot of room for a smallish vehicle. That's part of why I love mine for everyday use. However, several times each year I travel and camp for up to a week at a time. Okay you say, plenty of room for that. However....the reason I travel and camp is to reach dark skies to observe with my telescope. The telescope and gear for it take up most of the room in the back of the PT. Adding camping gear is tough once all of the scope stuff is packed. Soooo....would I be better off with a roof rack and cargo box up top....or a hitch and a small enclosed trailer for the trips I make?? I was thinking of a small teardrop-shaped cargo trailer but then there are issues with storing/maintaining it. If I go the cargo box route, I have to have rack/rails to mount it on. What does the group suggest?
