Maybe this has been covered, BUT! On late model SS Impala'z (the Corvette powered ones) when TRAC is on and senses that it needs to do its thing, it does two things. Sends pulses to the brakes and retards the timing. Does anyone know if this is the same for the PT'z??
I know that the brake is pulsed to the wheel that is spinning but I have never read, nor do I have any reason to believe that any changes are made to the engine (such as retarding timing).
