I've quasi-debated this a few times, so I wont' go into great detail. But the turbo heats that air to several hundred degrees.. I just don't see many CAI's having any noticable effect..
while moving, a short ram with the weather strip mod (or even add a cold air duct into the engine compartment in general) is most likely going to be very near the same temp by the time it hits the throttle body as a CAI intake.. and the short ram should flow more since it generaly has fewer bends. I say save a lot of money and just get a good pipe like AMX's and bolt on a good free flow filter.. then just duct cool air into the engine bay if you feel up to it
