The only state that I know near here that the jammer is illegal is Virginia, which also outlaws detectors. The unit itself looks just like a detector, so I don't know how they would know it is a jammer. It is completely passive, so they don't "see" a jam...just a zero reading. Nothing on the unit says what it is.
