I have not read anywhere that the throttle inlet presure (tip) sensor is not used with stage I and was wondering where you got this info? I also heard rumor that the down stream o2 sensor readings are not used. I have seen no confirmation of either of these rumors. I don't know of any scanner other than a DRB that can access these sensors to see if they function and if they function is the PCM using the info? [:I]
I only have second hand knowledge of these 2 as well (form here and the srt forums - I actually read it here first though)... then again, almost any s1 claims beyond the little sales blurb and bullet list mopar gives are almost all anecdotal anyways.. 3bar's contributions to the forum obviously aren't covered in this statement

the srt guys with s1 and no cat are not throwing codes though, so i consider this decent enough proof of the downstream O2. I am not sure how to judge the TIP though without an OBD scanner, and even then it would probably not be conclusive. Some well respected tuners on the srt forums have supported the "no TIP" claim though, so until I can find proof myself I am tenativley taking their word (lol I don't usually follow blindly like this though). I have ran with and with out it, and saw no differences either way. Until I find something more conclusive, I try to qualify my "no tip" statements with "or you can just tee of it"..
