Welcome to the orphanage.......
The PT was DCX's "experiment". The SRT-4 benefitted from the engine that was designed for the PT. There won't be too many more years left for PT production (as we know it). DCX pulled the plug on proposed expansion sites for increased production, and is rumored to have severly cut back on the Toluca plant.
I also feel that they have a fair idea that the PT owners have more disposable income than the SRT-4 targeted buyer.
It is all about money.
The future PT is rumored to be riding on a Mitsubishi based 6 cylinder, rear wheel drive platform. All of this is rumor and speculation. When you are subject to the "mushroom syndrome" (fed $h1t and kept in the dark), all you can do is guess.
Like any other kind of relationship, constant uncertainty will cause you to look for a "soft spot" once you relaize that the plan is for you to spend the rest of the relationship beating your head against a brick wall.
Drive=Love. Go sit in a corner and recite that 100 times, and then you will be the perfect DCX customer
