What would you do?? The F.C.C. has undoubtedly warned Clear Channel to clean up or face heavy fines. Clear Channel passed that on to Howard who laughed it off. Someone has to pay the fines and I don't imagine Howard would be willing to - so what choice do they have really??

Exactly. Clear Channel wasn't willing to pay the fines and/or wanted to make a statement about their organization. Infinity Broadcasting apparently feels differently because Stern is still on-air on their stations and they've paid hefty fines in the past. Just depends on how you want to run your business.
