Man, I got my a** burnt out in the Sun this weekend! The weather was beautiful (about 70-75 and Sunny both days), but by Sunday I was pretty crispy!

The Saturday truck race was the best! If you didn't see it on Speed Channel, there was a 2-Lap shootout at the end because they were under a Caution Flag. Mike Skinner's Toyota was in the lead and coming out of turn 4 on the last lap, Bobby Hamilton's Dodge edged by him on the outside. The Toyota couldn't hold off the Ram and as Bobby Hamilton crossed the line in First, the Toyota spun just before he crossed the line and he managed a second place finish as he was sideways!

This was the first time they've run the trucks at AMS and if you haven't seen a Truck Race, and you're within driving distance of one, I suggest you go.Tickets were only $15 and it was General Admission, so they were all pretty good seats, depending on when you got there.

The Sunday race was much less adventursome. They allowed the teams to reduce the rear spoiler by 1 inch to allow them to run faster, and that combined with Atlanta being the fastest track in NASCAR combined to make it a fast race, if not an eventful one.
