Well I have to be honest and say that on my trip to FL over Labor Day last year I was able to eek out 27MPG in my turbo. The secret is going really far.....really slow. I think I kept the cruise on 70 the whole way there and it was a 600+ mile trip.
On my Dakota R/Ts that I had, the magic number was 60MPH. With the gearing in the rear (3.92) it would get OK (for a 5.9 V8) at that speed. The best I got in that truck was 21 doing no more than 60 for a long distance trip.Once you went over 60 it dropped like a brick to around 16 or 17 at about 75MPH.
Yea, I know what you mean about the long trips. Most of my trips are about 110 miles, from here at school in Ohio, back home to MI I drive a good 50-60 miles on 75, so I would have thought that would have helped out some. I always just set the cruise at 70 at away I go.

where do you live thats its 60 some degrees!?!? There is now about 3+ inches of snow outside right now, and it doesnt appear to be slowing down!

edit: lol, I guess I should have just read your name. Are you guys getting any kind of rain or something there in GA?

Thanks again everyone,
Matt
