My questions to you are: does the water spotting occur after washing your car, from some lawn sprinkler system, or from rain (plain, acid, or rain mixed with industrial pollution)? What part of the country (world) do you live? Is your water supply from a well or city tap water? Answers to the above questions could lead to better suggestions to your problem and products or techniques to help you minimize any future water spotting.
Off hand, I would suggest using a claybar 1st, then if that doesn't work: try a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water (have to let it sit a bit to dissolve the water deposits, can even go 100% vinegar for tougher deposits...good for cleaning your windows too), and finally a good paint cleanser. Then, in your case, apply Zaino to your car (Z-2 or Z-5) afterwards.
If you suspect your water supply, go buy a whole house water filter (wall mount) and hook it up to the faucet you use to wash your car. You may have to buy a few adapters so you can screw-in your water hose. There are several different filter cartridge types available that you can buy to remove deposits and/or clorine from the water. See the picture of one unit below:
May want to carry a bottle of QD (in your case Z-6) in your PT to immediately deal with any water spotting and/or bird bombs. Z-6 can be diluted up to a 50/50 mix (use distilled water) so you can make your Z-6 supply last longer. Also use Z-6 just after you polish your PT.
