No problems whatsoever with the throttle shield or any other painted part under the hood. Thought the heat of the turbo might cause some issues but it hasn't to date (6000 miles on car) and I don't think it will. However, I recommend that you do not paint or install wire looms near the rear of the engine (above the turbocharger) as there is
EXTREME heat in this area.
