When i first mounted mine, I had trouble tigtening the screw near the oil line (the PITA screw). I can say there was loss of power, I could just hear the turbo and it made a whirring sound. I can't imagine it leaks as all the thing is is a plate with holes in it anyways. Took it off and reseated it and have had no probs since.
The gasket, if not placed in the same orientation as the holes in the BOV plate could cause issue. Aligning it could get confusing...maybe that could cause leaking.
I pull about 13psi on my boost gauge, so I don't think I am losing any, at least not from there, but I didn't compare before and after either.
