I've had that sound since new also, some are of the opinion that it comes from poorly adjusted lash adjusters.

So far I can't see any problems from it, to be honest i am afraid to let them wrench on the motor at the dealer.

It is a distressing problem for sure, on one hand I'm not sure if letting it go will cause problems down the road, on the other hand I feel more trouble will come of the repair.

I don't really have the time to fight back and forth with a dealer on this kind of thing, I need this car every day.
