If this happens again, I'll try shutting it down and restarting...only with S1 fun, my right foot is constantly glued to the floorboard. I'm sure if they had sent me an 04 PCM instead of an 03, this issue would have raised it's ugly head by now. At least my brain's not totally defective about reading an S1/AC issue.
They fixed it (for free) by draining the system and recharging the freon. No leaks were found, but where would the freon go if it hadn't leaked? It's only a year old, 11k miles. The Freon Fairy?
